Building Projects at Falcon College
Several buildings are currently under construction and progress has been unbelievably fast.  Work on the Marais's Cottage, which was gutted by a veldt fire early in the term, is now nearing completion.  


The thatch on the right wing of the Marais's Cottage is nearly complete and the roofing on the left wing is now ready for thatching.

 

 

 

Construction of the new semi-detached bachelor's flats is already underway.  The brickwork is now just above knee-level.

 

 

 



An additional retirement cottage under construction at the Retirement Village is nearly complete. Our Bursar, Lew Watson will be the first to occupy this new cottage.

 

Interhouse Quiz Results
The Interhouse Quiz is contested over three rounds, one in each term. The third and final round of the Interhouse Quiz was held on October 28th and the results are as follows:

Swimming Gala/Leavers Dinner
House Suppers will be on Friday 11 November, the Inter House Gala (9:00 a.m.) and Leavers Dinner (7:00 p.m.) on Saturday 12 November.  This is so that parents can make one trip and not two with the current fuel shortages.  All parents of Leavers are invited to attend the gala and dinner. 

Parents of leavers wishing to attend the Leavers Dinner should contact the headmaster's secretary, Mrs. L King as soon as possible.
