Meet the Waterpolo Team

Last weekend, the Falcon College Waterpolo Team won the closely contested Crusader Shield. Forbes Douse and Grant Beahan qualified for the Zimbabwe Provincial Development Team during the tournament.

Mr Jonathan Makola (coach and convener) is pictured here with the team that brought the shield home. The Captain, Forbes Douse, is seen here showing off the the coveted shield. The Hart trophy which the team also won is besides the shield.

Grant Beahan qualifies for the World Cup

Grant Beahan has qualified for the short course World Cup swimming in a time of 26.95 sec in the 50 metre men's butterfly. The world cup qualifying time is 27.75 sec. The course is scheduled to take place from  11th to13th November 2005 in Durban.  Unfortunately, due to A level examinations, he will not be able to participate.  Our cameraman found Beahan practising the butterfly stroke.

Mid-Term Break
Time literally flies.  It is hard to believe that it is already mid-term break. Our cameraman was on the spot to take pictures of what has become the familiar Falcon 'terminus' (the San Field) where our luxury buses and mini-buses ferry students to final destinations in Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, Harare, Masvingo, Victoria Falls and The Botswana border. For some, the mid-term break will be shorter as they are expected back on Sunday for exams to be written on Monday 17th.
