Dubai Rugby Tour
Reg Querl and Dave Grant will be accompanying a group of 20 boys to Dubai for the schools 7-aside Rugby tournament. The tour is being organized by Mr John Mctaggart, to whom we are most grateful.  A number of parents will be accompanying the touring party.  It is hoped that the tour will be a worthwhile experience for the boys.  Apart from enjoying the challenges on the rugby field, the boys will tour the bustling modern city of Dubai, the desert and the sea.  The expected date of departure is 28th November 2005 and we expect them back on 6 December 2006.

Marais's Fire - Responses continue to pour in.
Heartening responses to the Marais plight, after their cottage was destroyed by a fire a couple of weeks ago have continued to pour in and we would like to keenly express our gratitude to those who have responded so far and those who will be responding.

Deserted Sports Fields

Our camera took this scenic view of the fields during the fixture-free weekend. The fields do give the college the resemblance of an oasis in the arid, sun-baked bushy grasslands of Matabeleland South. It is that time of the year that jacarandas are in full bloom. The purple foliage of some jacaranda trees is visible in the background.  The sports grounds, which are normally a hive of activity were deserted during the fixture-free weekend.

Sports Dinner Postponed
The Sports dinner has been moved to 22 October.  Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted. We hope to meet parents of captains of the various sports disciplines at the dinner.
