Examination Results

The Cambridge International Examination results for the Ordinary Level, AS and Advanced Level written in November 2005 were downloaded from the CIE website at 00:01 hours GMT on Fiday 20th January.  Indications are that the Ordinary Level results are a significant improvement over the 2004 results in both the pass rate and quality. Details will be posted to the website once the analysis has been completed.

Outstanding Results at Ordinary level

At Ordinary level Blessing Tupiri obtained 4 A* grades, 3 A grades and 1 B grade..  Baveer Doolabh registered 4 A* grades, 2 A grades and 2 B grades.  Daniel Coulson registered 4 A* grades, 2 A grades and 2 B grades.

Falcon College DVD To Be Released Soon

The 12 minute preview DVD portrays the college quite vividly. The DVD offers a movie of a typical day at Falcon and the background music is the School Song by Bud Cockroft and the school hymn sung by the boys. A slide show option is also offered on the DVD. The DVD has now gone for its final editing and should be on sale before Founders day.

Above Average Year-to-Date Rainfall Figures Recorded at Falcon

Falcon College has benefited from the good rains received so far this year.  The fields and gardens are looking green and magnificent. The  year-to-date rainfall is over 400 mm which is above the year-to-date average of recent years.
Right - a site that is becoming common these days -a  waterlogged Founders field after an afternoon downpour.

Mbonisi weir at Quiet Waters which was constructed by a Falcon College parent, Jimmy Goddard, is about to spill. The picture was taken on Friday 20th January.  The water level was then 300 mm (about 1 foot)  below the 'spillway'.  Indications are that the weir will spill before the end of this rainy season.

Because of poor rainfall last year and seepage the level was very low at the start of the rainy season.  If the weir does fill up there will be an official opening and we will keep you posted on this.
