Aided Design at Falcon
The Department of Design & Technology has recently
introduced CAD (Computer Aided Design) in its curriculum.
According to Mr. Anthony Bancroft, the master-in-charge of Design &
Technology, "CAD will become an integral component of Design and
Technology - so must it be, in this technological world". The
Department has since been equipped with four computers in their workshop
as a first stage in the development of CAD at Falcon. The CAD
software will be of tremendous benefit to students working on their
projects.

When the new Computer Centre becomes operational later this year
students of Design and Technology will, no doubt, have more access to
CAD. Plans are at hand to eventually have CAD programs installed on the
Falcon network..
Disappointing rainfall - Dry
weather sets in
The rainfall situation in Matabeleland has been
disappointing despite the encouraging rains in December. The situation
in January has largely been disappointing with the rainfall far below
the normal to date for this month.
Flash back to December 2006.........
The view of Mbonisa Weir in December last year. The clear waters at
the weir gave a mirage-like reflection of the trees at the banks of the
weir. The weir benefited from the meaningful rains that fell that
month. The grounds are still
looking pretty good, thanks to earlier rains and the watering that has
continued. Interhouse Cross Country
The Inter-house Cross Country race was held on Wednesday
31st January. Tapiwa Pongweni won the Junior race while Conrad Tshuma won the
senior race. Tredgold House won the junior race while Hervey won
in the Senior race. The overall winning house was Tredgold House.
Tapiwa Pongweni, the fastest Junior cross country runner, took an
early lead in the race. For
