This event proved to be a spectacular success. It was held to
raise money for the First XI to attend an international festival at
Bishop's in Cape Town in December. The event was held over one and
a half days, with teams congregating on the Friday evening for a social
start to the proceedings. Teams from Falcon College, Bulawayo,
Gweru, Kwekwe, Esigodini, Victoria Falls and Botswana. attended the
event.
Accommodation posed no problems for the visitors. There were several
camp sites where visitors pitched their tens.....

Cricket was played on Main and Founders fields through
Saturday, and
a braai and auction of teams was held that evening. On Sunday, play-offs
were held and the final was played between Charlies Angels from Gweru
and the Falcon team. Falcon won to round off a grand week-end.

Drinks and refreshments were available throughout the day and the
evening braai was very popular.
Everyone had a good time and more than $3.5 million was
raised. The Falcon 1st XI sincerely thank everyone who
participated in the event, and particularly everyone who played a part
in staging it. Our special thanks go to Andy and Sue Bint, who
conceived the idea, arranged it and saw it through. It was a magnificent
effort.
