Report on Zimbabwe age-group cricket tours to Namibia Zimbabwe Cricket sent 3 age-group sides to play matches in Namibia at the beginning of the holidays and 8 Falcon boys were chosen for those sides. I was also fortunate to receive a last minute call up to manage the U14 age-group, an offer I didn't have to think long about before accepting. The Falcon boys involved were: U17 : Daniel Landman, Jason Graham All the boys made some impact on the field of play and all were good ambassadors for Zimbabwe and Falcon off it. Daniel Landman and Jason Graham were in the U17 side. Both achieved some runs with the bat, including a half century by Landman and Daniel also did a fair bit of bowling. In addition Daniel was the vice captain but actually took over the reins in the first match when the tour captain was unwell and sat out the match. At U16 level, Cunningham Ncube seemed to score some runs in most of his innings even though his highest score was only 35. Stevie Macheka had one notable success with the ball and a number of Kevin Pietersen-like innings with the bat. Godwill Mamhiyo was the tour captain for the U14s though his vice captain, Corey van Rensburg took over in the first match when Godwill was unfit with a shoulder strain. Godwill struggled a little with the bat but did well as an off-spin bowler. Corey might be described as a little erratic but featured particularly with the bat, scoring the only 50 of the tour at this level. Tochukwu Enwerem and Jono Brown had less opportunity to show their skills but Toch guided the team to victory in one match and Jono, whilst not having his best time with the bat, kept wicket well in one match and took the most catches on tour. Landman, Macheka and van Rensburg all picked up Man of the Match awards and van Rensburg was also voted the best U14 batsman Richard Harrison U14 tour manager
