Founders Day Athletics meetings
This year the Championship shield was won by Tredgold House. This was a very pleasing achievement for the Tredgold athletes considering that the house last won the shield in 1989. Since the founding of the College, Tredgold have won the shield 5 times. Hervey house have won it 28 times; George Grey 9 times, Founders 2 times and Oates 2 times. Our photographer was there to digitally capture some of the action, starting with the uninvited guest having a "bird's eye view" of the meeting, literally....

Interschool Athletics Relay Meeting at CBC
Falcon won by a clear 61 points.
Falcon College athletes continued in their devastating form when they beat second-placed hosts CBC by a clear 61 points in the Interschool Athletics Relay meeting held at CBC on 28th march.

This year athletes from 7 schools, falcon, CBC, Plumtree, Milton, Petra. Gifford and Mzingwane gathered at Falcon College under clear blue skies for the annual Interschool (Invitation) Athletics meeting. The meeting was held on Wednesday 29th March.

Falcon lead second-placed CBC by a staggering margin of 83 points. Here are a few snapshots from the meeting

Qualifiers for the National Athletics Trials at Mutare
Falcon Athletes expected to triumph
Following our very successful Zonal and Interzonal athletics meetings 12 of our top athletes were selected for the National Athletics Trials to be held at Mutare on Tuesday 2nd April to 4th April 2007.
Our athletes are expected to triumph at the meeting.
Sadly, the fastest 4 x 100m and 200m athlete in the entire province Denham Zimbudzana was unable to attend the trials because of the unfortunate death of his mother last weekend. Zimbudzana is a very promising athlete who was expected to represent the proivince in the 4x100m relay race and the 200 m race.
We will bring you results of the national Trials as soon as they become available.
