BEGINNINGS

  Beginnings only come once,
Pure like a maiden’s blood.
They are the paper before the art,
Pregnant with many a chance.
A beginning is a choice –
Paint black, Paint blue.
Whickever you employ
To begin you must choose.
Blank is the page
Pick up your brush
Dip in colour and paint
Take your time, do not rush.
The first stroke of the hand
The first mark on the white
Will be the rock or the sand
Below your construction site.
There is no finish without a beginning,

A start gives birth to an end.
To succeed, paint with meaning,
Gently make the colours blend.
Our choices govern our way,
Let not pride darken the shades.
If it be so, start again.
There is no shame in turning the page.
Have a good week
