Headmaster's Weekly Bulletin: 31 October 2008

WEEK EIGHT OF THIRD TERM 2008

Dear Parents

“Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of
Satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best”.
Theodore J. Rubin

I think that the above quote is relevant to all of us in Zimbabwe at this time when things are difficult, but a great deal of satisfaction can come from doing our jobs to the best of our ability.
Our server has been down for most of the week, which has been very frustrating, as it makes communication extremely difficult. The phones have also not been at their best – they are a constant battle and I apologise.

This week, boys start to leave the College, having completed their exams, so we had our final award ceremony on Friday. The following boys received awards:

We will be having a Bulawayo gathering and would love you to join us. It will be a very casual ‘bring and share’ lunch with a leisurely afternoon of enjoying each other’s company. All you need to do is bring a plate of eats and a nice chilled bottle of wine or whatever you fancy to drink. We will have secure parking so you can relax and not even have to worry about your vehicle.
Date: Thursday 13th November
Time: 12 noon onwards
Venue: MacAlistair Lodge, 57 Southway, Burnside.
RSVP: jstewart@falconcollege.com – or sms your name to 0912-221-776 or 011-808-796
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE.

This is a very busy weekend with House suppers, the Gala and Leavers’ Dinner. I look forward to seeing many of you over the weekend.
