Headmaster's newsletter, 17 July 2009

This has been a relatively quiet and slightly warmer week out in the Matabele bush - quiet, because for the most part, your sons have been head down (we hope) and involved with mid-year exams. Fortunately, their fingers have not been 'too cold to write', so don't accept that as an excuse if your son tries to explain away poor results! He has been given more opportunity than usual to revise, but we all know the story about taking a horse to water!

The sports' programme heats up again next week, with a full range of fixtures against Peterhouse (seniors away, juniors at home) at the weekend. In fact, it is all go from after this fixture free weekend until the end of term on Tuesday 4th August, so enjoy the weekend with your sons and encourage them to make the most of the last two weeks of term. Parents of Forms 4, L6 and U6 boys are reminded about the very important Consultation Day on Tuesday 4th. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND.
