Headmaster's newletter, third term, week three |
The weather has really warmed up and time does seem to be going by at an alarming rate for everyone, but especially for the exam candidates.
The first fixture free is next weekend. Please do insist that exam candidates bring some books home and spend at least some time studying. The exams really are right upon us.
We are delighted that Keith Coetzee and Joshua Rex have had the honour of their pictures being included in the Servcor calendar and I congratulate them. They will attend the launch of the calendar in Harare.
I do need parents and boys to understand that it is vital that if there is something untoward going on at the College, it should be reported. The boys reporting structure is - firstly, to go to their dorm prefect, then to their Head of House, and then to their Tutor or the Housemaster. Parents should contact their Housemasters directly, or me if they feel they are not being dealt with satisfactorily. All matters are investigated fully if reported. As I have stated previously, small things grow into large things, so please do contact the College. On the other hand, please make sure you have all the facts before reporting issues - there are always two sides to any story.
Speech Day and the Opening of our Computer Centre - Please do make an effort to attend this occasion. It is our premier event of the year and the boys really do appreciate their parents' support, especially if they are receiving a prize.
