Headmaster's newletter, third term, week four |
Fixture Free is upon us and our 1st XI Cricket are playing in the St. John's 20/Twenty at the weekend, so if you are free to go and watch, I am sure they would value your support.
On Friday morning in Assembly I handed out certificates
to boys in Form One who produced commendable 'Me' projects. These
are always an interesting read and an awful lot of time and effort
went into them. The boys are:
| R. Rosenfels | S.K. Nyandoro |
| C. Bray | S. Pretorius |
| E. de Wet | J. Hutchings |
| M. Swannack | M. Dodington |
| J. Klein | R. Hwenjere |
| B.L. Erasmus | M.R. Small |
| B. Stodart | Z. Mhlanga |
| B. Williams |
Last week, I spoke of the reporting system. I was reminded of a very bad omission by 'The Student Support Team' at Falcon. We have a counsellor, Mrs. Sue Swanepoel, who comes in every second week. We also have a group of staff who are available by appointment, or any time, to speak to young people on any matter troubling them. This is also a very important conduit, as it fills the role of a 'childline' type facility and is called 'The Student Support Team'.
Please cold I make this appeal to parents who have returned boys back to school late, for one reason or another, that it is our job to get children prepared for exams, but parents have a responsibility to help us by making sure children are at school on time.
