Headmaster's newsletter, week nine of second term

This week time once again seems to have flown by. It leads us into exam week and then the final fixture free weekend.

We have been asked to play our Rugby fixture at Hartsfield as a curtain raiser to the National team game, which is a great honour and privilege, as the 1st XV will play Petra at Hartsfield in Bulawayo at 12.30 on Saturday. All the junior sides will play at home, starting at 9.00 a.m.

On Sunday, we have the 'Tour de Falcon', our annual cycle race. We hope to see as many people here as is possible. This is always a very good social occasion.

BUS DROPPING OFF POINT:
In future, the dropping off and picking up point for buses in Bulawayo will be outside the Falcon office at 129b Josiah Tongogara Street (Between 13th and 14th Avenues) and NOT at the City Hall. The medical bus on Thursdays will still call at Ascot on the way back to Falcon.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
Sadly, I have had to suspend a boy this week pending further investigation on a bullying incident. Boys who make the lives of others a misery, take tuck, airtime, physically or verbally abuse boys, will have no place at the College. I will continue these investigations until we rout out this kind of behaviour

.

PARCELS DELIVERED TO SCHOOL:
I have had this situation come up previously this term. This week I observed plastic bags with mounds of tuck and one package even contained loaves of bread. I have kept a close eye on what the boys are being fed and the portions they are getting, and it is clear that no boy can be hungry after meals. Our Tuckshop is also amazing and wonderfully priced, so I cannot see the need for these enormous amounts of tuck. Please think about this.
