Headmaster's newsletter, week thirteen of second term

Thank you for all the support last weekend at the Old Boys/Peterhouse weekend. It went off really well and a lot of fun was had by many people. As was expected, the games were tough, but played in a wonderful spirit. It really was a pleasure to observe.

This week we have learned of two very sad tragedies - the first, a bus accident at Midlands Christian School, which has taken the lives of 2 children and a member of staff. Then, at Peterhouse Girls School, a girl passed away - the circumstances surrounding this loss are not to hand. Our heartfelt condolences go out to both these communities.

The term comes to an end on THURSDAY 5TH AUGUST 2010 - Forms 4, L6 and U6 have Consultation on Thursday morning and this starts at 7.30 a.m. The buses will be leaving at 8.30 a.m. and the rest of the boys can also leave at that time.

SWINE FLU:
The Ministry of Health intends vaccinating all children in Boarding schools against influenza A virus H1N1. This will be done on Tuesday next week. If you do not want your child vaccinated, you need to let us know by that day, please.
