Some time ago FOB Tim Sinclair (Founders 1978) was in the process of refitting the sails on my yacht. Well, the job is finally done and she is now on passage from Dubai to Singapore, here below are a couple of departing shots.
Tim says in his e-mail..."Normally one should display a sail number but as Kathys’s registration will change periodically ( she is now under the British Small ships register ) I figured the best thing for recognition would be an image and what better one than the Falcon. The Green and Silver fluttering off the port stay instead of the club burgee doesn’t exactly fall under maritime flag etiquette, but here it is following the skipper as being identification of the skipper’s nationality, (At the time of sailing I am once again non resident of any country, so once again a refugee so to speak.) The ensign (Red Union Jack )is on the stern as per her registration, but I doubt it will stay there long Kathya has a mysterious habit of dropping them in the oggin ( five lost in the past three years! ) and then the UAE courtesy flag is on the Starb’d stay."
